SPORTS FACILITIES

Chaman Vatika ‘Gurukul’ has vast playgrounds, a swimming pool and well-equipped halls for indoor games for the benefit and growth of its students. The school campus also supports an international size skating rink, karate arena, gymnasium, 400 metre 8-lane athletic track, cricket ground, basketball court, handball & volleyball ground and  archery field.

Students are taught the importance of outdoor exercise and are encouraged to play games of their choice. They imbibe the significance of being modest in victory and generous in defeat.CVG has large open fields available for track and field events and games like Archery, Football, Field hockey, Volley ball, Karate, Handball, Baseball, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Gymnastics, hard courts for Basketball, Tennis Courts and Skating Rinks.

Trained NIS coaches supervise sports activities and train students. Spacious assembly ground provides for regular exercises, demonstrations. PT displays and drill is compulsory for all students.

Games at the Gurukul are played with much for values and passion. There is emphasis on regular exercise and physical fitness. The spirit and desire to give the best possible performances are our watch.

Sports & Physical Health

Swimming Pools
The school has a modern swimming pool with filtration plant and changing rooms. Keeping in view the students age group, we have Swimming pool complex, which is the only one of its kind in Northern India. It is a full-length swimming pool. The Swimming pool complex is used for recreation and for competitions. Moreover life guards are available for safety reasons as well.

The sports council has galaxy of distinguished sportsmen who are a source of inspiration and serve as role models. They visit the school from time to time to formulate policies and to bend their expertise and guidance.

Indoor Gaming Arena

CVG's Indoor gaming arena comprises of Table Tennis, Chess, Carom, well equipped Gymnasium, Pool Table, Indoor Badminton Court.

This arena is hub for casual interactions among the students hence building a strong bond and strengthening emotional relationships amongst them.

INTER-HOUSE ACTIVITIES

All the students are divided into four houses – Kalpana Chawla, Kasturba, Lakshmi Bai and Sarojini House. Various activities like poetry recitation, extempore, story telling, elocution, debate and declamation, quiz, singing, dancing, rangoli making, drama, drawing and painting continue to take place in the school. These Inter-house competitions give ample opportunities to the students to display their skills and talents. A House Mistress, Deputy House Mistress and House Captain are allocated to each house.
