A Model United Nations (MUN) was held at OPS Vidya Mandir School on 1st November 2026, bringing together students from various schools to deliberate on global issues, practise diplomacy and develop leadership skills.

 

The day commenced with committee sessions, during which delegates represented their assigned countries and participated in formal debates, moderated caucuses and resolution drafting. They presented their views with confidence, listened to diverse perspectives and collaborated to explore meaningful solutions. The sessions concluded successfully, with participants demonstrating commendable research, public speaking and teamwork skills.

 

The committee sessions were followed by a grand closing ceremony, graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Shri Aseem Goyal Ji. His presence served as an inspiration to the young delegates and added dignity to the occasion. The ceremony also featured vibrant cultural performances that captivated the audience.

 

The event culminated in a prize distribution ceremony, where outstanding delegates were recognised for their exceptional performance. We are delighted to share that Jayati Dixit, a member of our school team, received a special mention in her committee. She was among the three delegates to receive this distinction, recognising her excellent contribution and performance. Her achievement is a matter of immense pride for our school.

 

The MUN proved to be a memorable and enriching experience for all participants. It provided a valuable platform for students to enhance their confidence, broaden their global perspective and develop the skills needed to become responsible and visionary leaders of tomorrow.
